Chad VanDyke
Vascular Access Specialist
Chad VanDyke, a native of Southwest Virginia, is a board certified vascular access registered nurse. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, majoring in business administration and economics. Chad later graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College, he then graduated Cum Laude from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Chad began his nursing career in the emergency department for Cone Health, eventually serving as a regular charge nurse and coordinator of the weekend staff. Chad also briefly worked in the float pool, staffing as a RN in the intensive care unit and all inpatient adult acute care units.
Chad has comprehensive experience as a vascular access nurse. Chad has been a member of the vascular access team at UNC Health’s Medical Center campus in Chapel Hill. He enjoys the collaboration and management of complex situations found in a tertiary care center. Chad has experience as a mobile vascular access clinician and manager where he provided vascular access services to hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, hospice, and home care.
Chad has a great deal of experience inserting small-bore central catheters to provide a full spectrum of solutions based on patient needs.
